Everything people ask before the first call
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Telehealth Hope Counseling is in network with UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Anthem, and CareSource. Private pay is also welcome. If your plan is not listed, ask during the free call and Brett will point you to reimbursement options.
How much does counseling cost?
Individual sessions are $150 after a $175 initial assessment. Couple sessions are $225 after a $275 couple assessment. Chat support plans start at $50 a week. Fees are the same in person and by video.
Where are you located, and who can you see?
The office is at 3416 Clifton Avenue in Cincinnati. Brett is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky, so telehealth sessions are available to residents of either state. Brett is a part of the Counseling Compact across the United States. Located outside Ohio or Kentucky? Brett may be able to work with you through secure online counseling. Through the Counseling Compact, he can apply for authorization to serve clients in eligible participating states. Contact Brett to discuss availability in your state. Appointments can begin once the required authorization is approved. Eligibility depends on where you are physically located during each session. Details: https://counselingcompact.gov
How do video sessions work?
Video sessions run on Carepatron, the HIPAA-compliant platform that also handles your booking and forms. You get a reminder with a secure link before each appointment and open it at your session time from a phone, tablet, or computer. A private room and a steady connection are all you need.
What happens first?
Book a free 10-minute phone call. If it feels like a fit, Brett schedules your initial assessment in Carepatron and you complete the consent and intake form there before you meet. The assessment shapes the plan from there.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Communication and the Carepatron platform meet HIPAA requirements. There are a small number of legal exceptions, and Brett explains them in the first session.
Why choose telehealth?
Accessibility, affordability, anonymity, acceptability, and adaptability. You meet from home, skip the commute, and keep the same therapist if life moves you across the state.
How do booking, forms, and reminders work?
Everything runs through Carepatron, the HIPAA-compliant practice platform Brett uses. First, book the free 10-minute call from any Book button or the calendar on the contact page, and you get an email confirmation. If it feels like a fit, Brett schedules your first session and Carepatron sends you a secure link to complete the consent and intake form before you meet. You get a reminder by email or text before every appointment. For video sessions, open the link in your reminder at your session time from a phone, tablet, or computer. Invoices and receipts come from the same portal. Questions at any step: call or text Brett.
How do I pay?
Insurance or private pay. Private-pay clients can settle by card or Cash App. Ask about payment during your first call.
