Carepatron, a HIPAA-compliant platform
The same care, from wherever you are
Video sessions run on Carepatron, the secure telehealth platform built for healthcare. You meet with Brett from home, the office, or the car in the school pickup line, and the session itself is exactly the same.
Private and HIPAA-compliant. Encrypted video built for therapy, not a consumer chat app.
One place for everything. Book, complete your forms, get reminders, and join your video session from the same secure client portal.
Anywhere in Ohio or Kentucky. Brett is licensed in both states, so you can meet from home, work, or campus.
Same session, same rates. Online visits run the same length and cost as sitting down in the office.

Hi, I'm Brett.
I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor and supervisor with more than 24 years of experience. Before opening this practice, I completed more than 3,500 psychiatric assessments in the emergency department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
My approach draws on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, attachment therapy, and the work of John Gottman. Therapy with me is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes between sessions. Whether you're navigating anxiety, a strained marriage, or a difficult season of life, I'm here to walk alongside you. Seeking support is a healthy step forward.
Brett takes care of the details, so you can focus on healing

How do video sessions work?
Video sessions run on Carepatron, the HIPAA-compliant platform that also handles your booking and forms. You get a reminder with a secure link before each appointment and open it at your session time from a phone, tablet, or computer. A private room and a steady connection are all you need.
What happens first?
Book a free 10-minute phone call. If it feels like a fit, Brett schedules your initial assessment in Carepatron and you complete the consent and intake form there before you meet. The assessment shapes the plan from there.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Communication and the Carepatron platform meet HIPAA requirements. There are a small number of legal exceptions, and Brett explains them in the first session.
How do booking, forms, and reminders work?
Everything runs through Carepatron, the HIPAA-compliant practice platform Brett uses. First, book the free 10-minute call from any Book button or the calendar on the contact page, and you get an email confirmation. If it feels like a fit, Brett schedules your first session and Carepatron sends you a secure link to complete the consent and intake form before you meet. You get a reminder by email or text before every appointment. For video sessions, open the link in your reminder at your session time from a phone, tablet, or computer. Invoices and receipts come from the same portal. Questions at any step: call or text Brett.
